When Virgin Management moved into their new 24000 sq ft home in Hammersmith we worked with Architecture practice Spacelab on applying the groups brand values and tone of voice into the building. Its a bold start in reception with Branson’s business and personal mantra of ‘Screw it…let’s do it!’ greeting you in 3 ft high letters.
A 10 meter sweet tube runs up through the atrium dispensing sweets to visitors in reception and staff as the make there way across the walkways. Meeting rooms are themed to reflect brand values and geographical locations of the business. A group of four meeting rooms on the ground floor will take you on a journey from NYC to Africa, Bondi and Bollywood.
A room with love hearts speaks of Virgin’s passion for all it does. A boxing ring sorts out any HR issues. With its strong Eco values which were observed throughout the construction, the ‘Green’ room features furniture which had been previously disposed of and a multi coloured floor made up of the carpet tiles samples discarded throughout the project.
This project has recently been featured in the book ‘I wish I worked there!’ by Kursty Groves which features 38 of ‘the most creative spaces in business’.
